You are Unique: Your Passwords Should Be Too

Most people know that strong passwords are safer; they avoid using names, birthdays, or common words for passwords. (The best passwords are a blend of letters, numbers, and keyboard characters.) But having a strong password isn't enough; to maximize your safety, each account should have a unique password. That way if one password is somehow compromised, the rest of your accounts are safe.

Think of it this way: Setting up multiple passwords isn't particularly convenient, but neither is having all your accounts compromised when one password is compromised. Always use a different password for every account, and change your passwords at least once every three months (the more frequently the better). Do it today – don't wait until it's too late.
